"I wish that God still rescued like this today!"

Reading Daniel

What to know As your friend hears the miracles of Daniel or other prophets, they may express longing to experience that same provision. Let the conversation move from the theological to the personal, as God leads. What to say Make room for your friend to share situations in their life that come to mind as they hear this story. What are times that they needed God's provision? The Word of God tells us to mourn with those who mourn. If your friend shares something grievous, don't try to fill in words to somehow make it better. Ask God to help you mourn with your friend, expressing grief together. As God leads, ask your friend what some of their needs are today. Pray together for your friend, in Jesus's Name, remembering that he is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Hebrews 13:8). Share James 1:17 and ask God, who saved Daniel and his friends, to move in power in your friend's life, according to his wisdom and love. Talk about God's ability to rescue a person out of a trial, or to walk with them through it. Pray together for God to do "immeasurably more than you ask or imagine" in the name of Jesus al-Masih.

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf:  be reconciled to God.
